Then Joseph commanded to fill their sacks with corn, and to restore every man's money into his sack, and to give them provision for the way: and thus did he unto them.
Then said the LORD unto me; This gate shall be shut, it shall not be opened, and no man shall enter in by it; because the LORD, the God of Israel, hath entered in by it, therefore it shall be shut.
For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God.
But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.
Let brotherly love continue.
He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land.
The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.
Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
And when he was gone forth into the way, there came one running, and kneeled to him, and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?
