Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
Did I make a gain of you by any of them whom I sent unto you?
Now when all this was finished, all Israel that were present went out to the cities of Judah, and brake the images in pieces, and cut down the groves, and threw down the high places and the altars out of all Judah and Benjamin, in Ephraim also and Manasseh, until they had utterly destroyed them all. And the LORD thy God will put all these curses upon thine enemies, and on them that hate thee, which persecuted thee.

But for his kin, that is near unto him, that is, for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother,
Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
