Biography
The Joe Rogan Experience is the reason most people know his name. It is one of the most popular podcasts in the world, and since 2020 it has been the most streamed podcast on Spotify — a position that has made its host one of the more widely heard voices in American media, whatever the subject on any given day.
Joseph James Rogan Jr. was born on 11 August 1967 in Newark, United States. Before the podcast, he built a career across several fields at once: stand-up comedy, acting, television hosting, and commentary on sport. He is also a judoka. None of those strands ever fully replaced the others, and the mix of them is part of what shaped the long-form conversational format he became known for.
He is no longer a television host, but the podcast has kept him in front of an audience larger than most of his earlier work reached. His material is at joerogan.com.
