Biography
The name most people mean when they say Les Brown belongs to a motivational speaker and author who came to public speaking from politics — he served as a politician in Ohio before the speaking and writing became what he was known for. That sequence matters to the way his material is received: the platform came second.
In 1993 he hosted a talk show under his own name, The Les Brown Show, which put him in front of a television audience rather than only the rooms and halls where speakers usually work.
Beyond that, the public record here is sparse, and it is worth noting that the name is shared by several other Americans — a big band leader, a journalist, an NFL tight end — so material attributed to "Les Brown" is not always his.
