Biography
If you have heard a line about attitude, persistence or selling yourself before you sell the product, there is a fair chance it came from Zig Ziglar, or from someone repeating him. He built his reputation on the platform, speaking to audiences as a motivational speaker, and he carried that same material into books as an author.
What sets his background apart from many people in the field is that he was a salesman first. The selling came before the speaking, and it stayed in the work — the practical, transactional business of persuading another person, rather than abstract theory about success.
He was born Hilary Hinton Ziglar on 6 November 1926 in Coffee County, and worked in the United States. He died on 28 November 2012. His material continues to circulate under his name at ziglar.com.
